Laney
Nickname: Noodgie. Adventurer. Pack leader. Campsite security chief.
Australian Shepherd β’ 17 unstoppable years
Laney is everything you would imagine an Australian Shepherd with two obsessed moms would be.
She was an adventurer through and through. Cross country road trips, camping, flying with her falsified service animal credentials' There was no journey too big or too small for her. She loved doing anything and everything if it meant she got to do it with her family.
Laney was the boss. In their home, at the campsite, among other pups and people alike. She had her particularities and her family willingly complied with her demands.
She was a teacher. She taught them so much about unconditional love, commitment, and patience. Laney trained up her younger brother, Remy, shaping him into the perfect companion for her senior journey. She was an old soul.
If only us humans chased our dreams the way Laney chased balls. She would collapse or her family's arms would fall off before she quit. She simply had no quit. She did everything 100% or not at all. Steady, loyal, protective. She took her position as pack leader seriously, and as long as they fed her kibble on time, she would go to the ends of the earth for her people.
Laney approached life with love, excitement, and just enough stubbornness to keep her going for 17 years. She was resilient.
"If only us humans chased our dreams the way Laney chased balls."

Founders of Achy Acres
Laney and Guante met at Fernhill Park on the very first day of Guante's new life. Both up in years, both carrying a little extra mileage. They were the founders of what their families lovingly and appropriately called "Achy Acres."
In Her Honor
The adoption fee for Beau has been sponsored in dedication to her remarkable life.
